1. Combine dry mixture in large pot: 1 cup flour, ½ cup salt, 1 tbsp. alum (spice).
2. Add into pot and stir: 1 cup hot water, 1 tbsp. + pinch oil, food colouring.
3. Cook over medium heat for 5-7 minutes until mashed potato consistency. Remove and knead.
4. Cool a bit before storing in an airtight container.

1. You need whipping cream, a clean jar, a glass, a bowl, a spoon and salt
2. Pour the whipping cream into a jar, and screw on the lid.
3. Shake the jar until butter forms a ball.
4. Pour off the buttermilk. Put the butter in a bowl.
5. Add salt and taste the butter.

1. You need a tall glass, large baking pan, tin foil, baking soda, dish detergent, food colouring, water and vinegar. Lava is NOT edible
2. Set a tall glass in the middle of the baking pan.
3. Mold foil around the glass to form a cone shape, leaving the top open.
4. Pour into the glass 3 tbsp. Baking soda, 5 drops liquid dish soap, 3 drops food colouring
5. Gently pour in 1/4-cup water and stir lightly.
6. SLOWLY pour in ½ cup vinegar and stand back as it erupts FAST.
